During the 2010 February break (13th - 20th), Your Tutor World teachers, students, parents, and families are going to the Dominican Republic in an effort to help lift the spirits of orphan children through games and education. We are teaming up with ‘Orphanage Outreach’ to donate and volunteer our time for the betterment of children less fortunate than that of which we are all accustomed to. Students who volunteer will have the opportunity to help their peers from a different region of the world through various activities. They will have the humbling experience of seeing how children their own age live, and what types of everyday struggles they face. Parents, teachers, and families who volunteer will also encounter this same humbling understanding.
Your Tutor World plans to raise as much money as possible for the orphanage and our volunteer experience. All proceeds go to Orphanage Outreach in helping to imporve the living conditions and education of the orphans.
